10 Way to lose weight fasting
Most of us face a big problem during fasting: instead of losing weight, we often gain weight. And if we add to all this the holiday feast, we have the complete recipe for the beginning of the year with many extra pounds.
But don't worry, I have some tips for you to help you get through this period without your figure suffering.
In order to enjoy the holidays properly, my recommendation is to keep a moderately low-calorie diet before Christmas, through which to stabilize your weight or even lose 2-3 kilograms. Whether you choose a diet specially designed for this period, or fasting, losing weight until Christmas helps you and motivates you not to gain weight during the holidays.
But don't forget that fasting does not mean devouring jars of jam on bread or excess vegetable fats. I invite you to look at fasting as a purification and detoxification of both body and spirit, the spiritual significance of which you must never forget.
How to lose weight fasting
Here are some suggestions to help you if you are already fasting or decide to do so before Christmas:
1. Let your family and colleagues
know that you are fasting and you can get rid of all the temptations brought to the office by colleagues or visitors.
2. Choose oatmeal and dairy products, because they contain fiber that stabilizes blood glucose and helps release serotonin, which has a relaxing effect.
3. Eat slow-release carbohydrate-rich
foods at breakfast and lunch, but not at dinner. Choose beans, chickpeas, peas, lentils, pasta and wholemeal rice preferred at lunch, along with fresh or cooked vegetables and whole grain or bread for breakfast.
4. Remember that water, tea and vegetable soups are the most effective allies, which cut your appetite, bring you the minerals and vitamins you need, hydrate you and help you eliminate excess fat.
5. Excess vegetables and salads, to be full of energy all day and to have a good mental tone. But be careful, be stingy with the oil, no matter what type it is, because it has a lot of calories (900 calories / 100 ml). Use it with the sprayer - 3-4 puffs are enough for a portion of salad.
6. Avoid eating refined sugar and starch, which raises glucose to alarming levels and keeps you feeling hungry all the time. Remember that jams and jams contain concentrated sugar from the fruits from which they were made, so consume them in moderation, preferably for breakfast.
7. Avoid places that ostentatiously start announcing that Christmas is coming: pastries, confectioneries and the like. Don't be lured by fasting sweets. Just because they don't have milk and butter doesn't mean they don't have more than 400 calories per 100 grams. Read food labels carefully!
8. Give up any form of alcohol.
You will appreciate even more a glass of red Christmas wine, and the number of daily calories will be reduced by at least 100.
9. Forget all commercial juices,
whether with or without added sugar. This way you get rid of another 200-300 calories a day. My advice is to forget not only about the juices on the market, but also for the rest of the year. Fresh ones are not friendly to your figure either, so avoid them as much as possible. Moisturize with plain or mineral water or aromatic teas. They are much healthier and, in addition, do not cost you calories!
10. Go shopping in as many stores
as possible, looking for the perfect gifts. Dress lightly, choose comfortable shoes and walk as much as possible. The larger the stores, the better for you. The mandatory condition is to do this every day after work, at least 30 minutes.
Follow the 10 suggestions above and I guarantee that you will lose one kilogram per week even in fasting.
